Microphytobenthos of the Sea of Azov

The retrospective review examines the state of knowledge of microphytobenthos of the Sea of Azov. Insufficient number of floristic studies and almost a complete lack of quantitative data on populations and communities of microalgae in different marine ecotopes demonstrate the relevance of studying microphytobenthos.
