This study examines the ultrastructure of the cells forming the mesonephros tissues in eight species of bony fishes of the Black Sea: Gaidropsarus mediterraneus (L.), Lisa aurata (Risso), Trachurus mediterraneus (Staindachner), Diplodus annularis (L.), Spicara flexuosa (Rafinesque), Gobius niger jozo L., Mullus barbatus ponticus (Essipov) and Scorpaena porcus (L.). It is shown that the ultrastructure of the agranulocytes and rodlet cells in the studied species is similar to that of the cells in freshwater bony fishes. Differences have been found in the number of mitochondria in the chloride cells, in the vesicle ultrastructure of the cells with radially situated vesicles and in the ultrastructure of the specific secondary granules of neutrophils and eosinophils.

Key words: bony fishes, mesonephros, interstitium, ultrastructure, leucocytes, cells with radially situated vesicles, rodlet cells, chloride cells.
