Seasonal dynamics of succession rate in a near-shore macrophytic community

This paper discusses a method for computing an index that reflects the rate of changes in community species structure. This index is illustrated by the example of the macrophyte community of Vityaz Bay in the Sea of Japan. The mean annual succession rate of this community was estimated to be 0.030 day-1.
